What is Annabelle's Place?

Annabelle's Place is a permanent housing facility for veterans affected by the invisible scars of war and service.

It is located in North College Hill, a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio and comprised of two 4,000 square-feet one-story buildings.

Annabelle's Place is conveniently situated within walking distance of key neighborhood services such as bus transportation, a grocery store, pharmacy, and various employment opportunities.

Each of the furnished 12 efficiency-style apartments includes a kitchen with appliances, bathroom and patio area. Two units offer a separate bedroom for veterans with children. There is both indoor and outdoor common space, community rooms, and laundry facilities.

Who does it help?

Annabelle's Place provides 12 low- to moderate- income veterans in the Greater Cincinnati area permanent housing for those affected by the invisible scars of war and service. This new housing community helps foster a positive living environment in which veterans can recover and thrive.

All residents will have access to supportive services including case management, support groups for Military Sexual Trauma, Domestic Violence, Moral Injury, and medical professionals needed to successfully live independently. The support groups would also be made available to other veterans in the area.

The architectural design by glaserworks was crafted to create a home-like, safe and peaceful community; offering shared spaces as well as fully equipped private apartments and a small, private patio.

Construction began in the fall of 2016 and was completed in the fall of 2017.
