We're In This Together
Dear Friends,
I hope you are safe and well. These are days that seemed unimaginable only a few weeks ago. The impact across the globe is something we’ve not witnessed in our lifetimes. The landscape around us and how we operate and care for others has changed and continues to change.
First, I want to say thank you for your concern and compassion. Over the last few weeks we’ve heard from so many of you who’ve asked “How can I help?” In the midst of all of this, even with the concern of your own families, you haven’t forgotten about those in need and you continue to check on us. Thank you!
We feel blessed by your outpouring of support, and we can’t thank you enough. And we’d like to offer some hope back to you.
We are keeping you and your families in our prayers for good health. We wish for you to remain safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. And we keep you and the rest of our community in our hearts, that we may weather this storm and come through on the other side whole, happy, and in good health.
This week we released our annual Gratitude Report. It is all about you and the lives you change every day. You’re the hope found in the darkest of moments for the men, women and families who need help. I mention hope because when some of our most vulnerable neighbors come for help, they are hopeless.
But you? You’ve been here every day. You’re here with us now. You’re giving the hope they need to fight through. You’re everything they need. I hope you know you’re the reason people find the strength they need to overcome homelessness, fight the disease of addiction, or build a path home. They can achieve well-being, because of you.
You are the reason hope is found at Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana every day. We are so very grateful for your support now and in the future. It’s why I want everyone to see what we can accomplish together, and the Gratitude Report exemplifies this.
It is fair to say that these past weeks have been amongst the most daunting and extraordinary that we have experienced in our lifetime. We are being tested in ways far beyond what we could have ever imagined, and yet, we are also coming together with renewed purpose, finding greater strength resilience from each other. We can’t do this without you!
You can be the momentum, hope, and inspiration veterans, individuals and families need to keep pushing forward.
Here’s three ways you can help:
- Give Love.
Donations are critical right now. You can give immediate hope and help to veterans, families and individuals. Give Hope Now. - Share Hope.
Share a message of hope or inspiration with the men, women and families who are fighting their way to well-being right now. Share a Message of Hope - Push Forward.
That’s right. Share this message. Ask your colleagues, friends, and family to help the most vulnerable people in our community thrive.
With our sincere thanks and continued prayers for your good health,
John R. von Arx III
President & CEO
P.S. Please know our community’s well-being is our top priority. With you by our side, we know we will be able to continue to meet the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors.
