Your Cleveland Car Donation Rehabilitates Youth Offenders
Successful lives made possible again
Think back to every job application you’ve completed. A question that could slip under your radar as just another mindless probe can mean the difference between enough money for rent and another night on the street:
“Have you ever been convicted of a crime?”
Individuals charged in their youth often face a lifetime of hurdles to jump through and doors shut in their faces if not adequately invested in following their offense.
Fortunately, employability programs like Volunteers of America of Greater Ohio’s Face Forward 2 work to divert juvenile offenders from further encounters with the justice system through skills training that promotes creating paths toward successful, productive lives.
Lifted up, not left behind
The Face Forward 2 program in Cleveland helps juvenile offenders aged 16-21 combat a cycle of crime that can be easy to slip into once it begins.
Our individually tailored services uniquely push each juvenile offender above social, educational and employment barriers that can plague youths who have been convicted of criminal acts.
Some of the services provided include employment readiness training, job placement, job retention, as well as providing assistance for those eligible for expungement services—all of which are available for up to one year.
Participants work with assigned case managers to design individual service plans that aim to best achieve their specific goals.
Your Cleveland car donation helps
We depend on your donations to fund programs critical to our community’s progress, such as Face Forward 2.
How can you help? If you have an extra or unused car, truck, motorcycle, RV or boat that’s just taking up space, please consider making a Cleveland car donation. Even if it’s not running, we can arrange free same-day towing to come get it. Additionally, you might make more money off of your vehicle as a tax-deductible donation than you would by selling it through the classifieds.
