Lilly Endowment Inc. awards $2.1 million in grant funding to Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana
Lilly Endowment Inc. has awarded a $2.1 million grant to Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana to support capacity-building efforts during the next three years. The grant is one of 28 grants totaling $41 million that are designed to help human services organizations and community centers in central Indiana enhance their ability to meet the needs of the individuals and families who they serve.

Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana announces Columbus-based Family Focused Recovery Center. Humana invests $1.7 million to support program designed to keep mothers with children during recovery. VOAOHIN will develop, build, and operate a new, certified residential substance use disorder treatment facility for women with children in Columbus.

Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana (VOAOHIN) has been awarded a $7.5 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. VOAOHIN is one of eight organizations to be awarded funds through the latest round of Lilly Endowment financial sustainability grants, which total $34 million.

Evansville women’s addiction recovery center recognizes community impact during pandemic
The Evansville Fresh Start Recovery Center staff continued to make a positive impact, despite the pandemic, providing addiction treatment support and services in Vanderburgh County. The team at The Evansville House, on West Buena Vista Road, has served nearly 200 women during the pandemic, 2020 and 2021 combined.

The Volunteers of America Winchester Fresh Start Recovery Center staff continued to make a positive impact, despite the pandemic, providing addiction treatment support and services in Randolph County. The team at The Winchester House, 313 S. Meridian St., has served nearly 325 women during the pandemic, 2020 and 2021 combined.
