Volunteers of America of Greater Ohio and the Cincinnati VA Medical Center are hosting the Cincinnati Veterans Resource Fair 2017

Cincinnati, OH – Volunteers of America of Greater Ohio and the Cincinnati VA Medical Center will host a Veterans Resource Fair in Cincinnati on Thursday, June 22, 2017, to provide valuable access to free services and information about community resources for veterans in the Cincinnati area. The free resource fair will last from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will be held at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds, 7801 Anthony Wayne Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45216, located near Bus Route 78.

An opening ceremony, presentation of colors, and brief remarks will begin at 9:30 a.m.

For the remainder of the day, service agencies and employers will provide much-needed information and giveaways to the veterans. Services and resources provided include housing information, job training services, medical screening, legal services, hygiene kits, free food, haircuts, and health screenings. Over 50 agencies will participate in the Veterans Resource Fair. Three-hundred fifty veterans are anticipated to attend.

"No veteran who has bravely served our country should ever struggle with getting the help they need," said Dennis Kresak, Volunteers of America of Greater Ohio President and CEO. "For those veterans who have fallen on hard times, this resource fair will provide much needed access to important resources and services."

The Veterans Resource Fair is open to all veterans and also includes Stand Down activities and services targeted specifically for homeless veterans.
