High School Key Club Collected Toiletries for Homeless Veterans

Students came together to organize a donation drive and collected hygiene items for homeless veterans.

In March, Portsmouth West High School Key Club organized a donation drive collecting hygiene items, laundry supplies, and toiletries to help homeless veterans in need.

Molly, Key Club secretary and 2018 Miss West of the River Days Queen's Pageant dropped off the donations with her Key Club advisor and math teacher, Leah Blevins.

“Veterans have done so much for us. They laid down their lives to keep this country free. The least we can do is donate a stick of deodorant or a bottle of shampoo for them. Students can afford these things because a lot of high school students have jobs. This is something they can purchase to give back,” they said.

The donations were given to the Veterans Resource Center and Men’s Shelter in Columbus.
Thank you very much for these generous donations.
