Men’s Warehouse helps homeless men suit up
Donate used clothes to your Columbus National Suit Drive.
Imagine being homeless and jobless for months, maybe even years. You survive on your own day in and day out with no support system. Then, when you finally land an interview, you are overlooked because of your appearance. Coming up in the entire month of July, you can help Volunteers of America of Greater Ohio ensure that this doesn’t happen to homeless men in Ohio communities like Columbus, Cincinnati and Cleveland. Beginning July 1, Men’s Warehouse is beginning its annual National Suit Drive.
Through the initiative, Men’s Warehouse partners up with non-profits like Volunteers of America to provide gently used professional attire to at-risk men transitioning into the workforce. If you’re thinking of paring down your closet or doing some spring-cleaning, consider donating your work attire to Men’s Warehouse. You’ll even receive a discount on a new purchase when you make a donation–find details here.
As the Columbus partner of the National Suit Drive, Volunteers of America gives the donated items we receive to the homeless men and veterans in our employment and job training programs. Our job-readiness programs help the Ohio veterans we serve find and maintain stable employment. It is often the case that homelessness can be traced back to a lack of job skills. Through this Ohio charity, we are able to help homeless men find fulfilling jobs that help them regain their independence.
If you would like to donate to the Men’s Warehouse National Suit drive, please take your gently used work attire to any Columbus location in the month of July. Receive a 50% coupon when you make a donation to use on any regularly priced Men's Wearhouse item.
