Pickerington Thrift Store Grand Opening: March 29, 2019
Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana is excited to announce the grand opening of our brand new thrift store in Pickerington will be on Friday, March 29, 2019.
There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony with local dignitaries at 8:15 a.m. and doors will open at 9 a.m. We will be giving away a $25 gift certificate each hour to one lucky thrift shopper.
The new custom-built 20,000 square foot thrift store is located at 909 Old Diley Road, next to the Kroger in the Windmiller Square shopping center.
This new Volunteers of America thrift store features an attached covered donation center where you can drive up and easily donate your unwanted clothes and household items.
All Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana thrift stores are 100% nonprofit – meaning that your donations and purchases directly impact the lives of thousands of homeless veterans, families, individuals in our community.
Open interviews are being held at the thrift store Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for cashier and manager positions. This new thrift store is bringing 40 part-time and full-time jobs to the Pickerington community.
Regular store hours will be 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday.
This will be our tenth thrift store in Ohio and first custom-built thrift store. The last thrift store Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana opened was in 2011 on Henderson Road in Columbus.
