Thomas H. Kmetz Named New Chief Financial Officer
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (April 27, 2020)
Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana is pleased to announce Thomas H. Kmetz as Chief Financial Officer.
In this role, Kmetz will oversee the full range of accounting, finance, and investment management functions, while providing strategic recommendations to ensure all financial solutions positively support the two state organization’s evolving strategy, vision and mission. As a member of the executive team and collaborative leader, Kmetz will be based in Indianapolis.
Tom succeeds Harry Cool who announced his retirement from Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana effective March 31.

Kmetz has held senior positions as the Chief Financial Officer at several large healthcare system organizations, including most recently, Chief Financial Officer and lead financial executive at Mid America Clinical Laboratories, LLC, a large clinical laboratory with over 30 Patient Service Centers.
Kmetz is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a degree in Accounting from Purdue University. He is a pilot and member of Med Flight Indiana, a non-profit group of pilots who provide air transportation services to sick children in need who must travel far distances for critical medical care. Tom lives in Brownsburg, Indiana with his wife and has two sons attending college.
