Volunteers of America Recognized For Outstanding Service To Veterans by Ohiomeansjobs Cincinnati – Hamilton County
(CINCINNATI) September 21, 2020
Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana was recognized for its outstanding service to military veterans in the Cincinnati area by OhioMeansJobs Cincinnati – Hamilton County. As a long-standing partner with OhioMeansJobs, Volunteers of America provides targeted employment services to assist in reintegrating homeless veterans into meaningful employment within the labor force.
In support of this recognition, OhioMeansJobs presented Volunteers of America with a $22,771 incentive award to continue to help local veterans in need and their families access services they need to achieve wellbeing.
The Cincinnati-Hamilton County workforce development system was awarded these funds from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services 2020 Veterans Ohio Network for Employment (Vets O.N.E.) Incentive Award. The selection is made based on recognition of exceptional services to veterans seeking employment assistance over the past year. In turn, Volunteers of America was chosen as the non-profit partner to receive the incentive award.
“We are so grateful for our partnership with OhioMeansJobs and our shared mission to support the employment needs of our community’s veterans.”
