Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana Receives Grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to Support Individuals and Families Impacted by Covid-19 in Marion County
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana (January 5, 2021)
Volunteers of America (VOA) Ohio & Indiana has received a $250,000 grant from Lilly Endowment Inc., which is making a series of grants to help organizations working to mitigate the human and economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in Marion County.
VOA will use the grant to ensure critical services continue for low-income families and individuals most severely impacted by the pandemic. Funding will support increased need for mental health and addiction recovery services, housing, employment, and other services for families, military veterans experiencing homelessness, and men and women transitioning from the corrections system back into the community.

VOA is one of 38 organizations that Lilly Endowment has made grants to as part of its latest round of funding to help organizations respond to the pandemic’s effect on communities in Indianapolis. Since March 2020, Lilly Endowment has made nearly $208 million in grants related to COVID-19.
